The Research Committee oversees the scientific output of the Institute.  They assess projects for approval and monitor project performance and outcomes.  Key selection criteria for new projects include:

• Consistency with the Institute’s objectives
• Scientific merit
• Risk-benefit analysis of cost, duration, availability of resources
• Commercial potential.

Commercialisation Committee

The Commercialisation Committee oversees the commercial opportunities of the Institute, monitoring the commercial potential of Institute-developed-technologies in categories such as breakthrough, extensions or community benefit products.   The Committee aims to enhance the Institute’s commercial potential and success by:

• Analysing market opportunities
• Preparing appropriate commercial documents for potential investors and industry partners
• Facilitating negotiations with investors and industry partners.
